Some Common Problems

Methods to Reach Phonepe Customer Care
You can contact its customer care through the call, chat and email. Besides this there is a knowledge bank of some common problems. Moreover, you would find solutions of some common problems here itself in this page.
Support Ticket through Chat
The easiest way to contact the Phonepe customer care is the Support ticket. The support is provided through the chat facility. You can chat with the Phonepe customer care through the App itself. If the customer care executive is available, you can talk immediately. Else, you can write your problem, the support person would reply it as soon as possible.
Getting support through this method is quite easy and self eplainatry. Most if the time you would not require the support from the executive the system itself would answer your question. Common Phonepe Problems and Answers
There are some common problems of payment apps. The Phonepe customer care give standard answer to these common problem. Hence, it is better to know these answer here only.
Question 1- My UPI transaction has failed but money is deducted from the bank account. What to Do?
Answer- This is the most common problem of the Payment apps. However, you should not worry as 99% of the people get back their money within 1 hours. So you should wait for at least one hour to get back the money. But, if you don’t get money within one hour, contact the phonepe customer support using any of the above 3 methods.
Question 2- It is showing that transaction is successful but beneficiary did not get the money.
Answer- This problem is similar to the above situation. So the answer is also same. Sometimes, it can take longer to credit amount in the bank account. So you must wait for one hour. After this time you should contact to customer care.
Question 3- After entering the UPI PIN the app crashed. How would I know that transaction was successful.
Answer- To know the payment status, you can check the transaction history. It is available in the my account section. You would also get an SMS of successful transaction.
Question 4- I have recharged a mobile number through the Phoenepe. The money was deducted but recharge did not happen.
Answer- It is a common thing. Sometimes it happens as recharge fails at the operator. It recharge does not happen the phonepe would refund your amount within an hour. If you have still not received your refund, please contact customer support.
Question 5- I have paid a bill through the Phonepe. The amount is paid successfully. But I did not get any message from the service provider. How would I know whether my bill is paid or not.
Answer- The bill payments take time. It happens with all the digital modes. It can take 2-4 days when you would be able to see the confirmation at service provider portal. If there is no change in 3 days, contact the Phonepe Support

Question 6- Is the UPI PIN different from my PhonePe password?
Answer- Yes! The PhonePe password (a 4 digit pin) is used to login to your PhonePe account only. The UPI PIN, which is issued by your bank is used to authorize each transaction that you initiate through your bank account linked to PhonePe.
Question 7– How do I set the UPI PIN for my bank account from PhonePe?
Answer- You can set UPI PIN from the Phonepe app. Note, you have to set UPI PIN for every bank account.
To set the UPI PIN, you have to go to the Bank account details. There you would find the link to set or change the UPI PIN.
In this process, you would be asked last 6 digits number of the debit card and expiry date. The App would also send an OTP to the registered mobile number. You have to enter this OTP to set the UPI PIN.
Question 8- Cashback not awarded
Answer- The phonepe gives cashback for various promotions. However, It can take upto 24 hours for the payment. It is auto-processed when the transaction falls right according to the terms and conditions.
