Money Deducted But Transaction Failed
It is the, most common type of the problem. Many times, it happened to me as well. This problem occurs because of the communication problem between Paytm and telecom company. Actually, when we do a transaction, other organisations are also involved in the whole payment process. It there is a technical error from any platform, the payment may fail.
But, you should not worry much about it. Because your money would be refunded after few hours. Sometimes, it may take more than a day. If you do not get back your money within 2 days, you should contact the customer support of the Paytm. In case, you contact earlier, you would get the standard answer- wait for 48 hours.

The banks have to credit an amount within 2 hours of receipt. If it can’t find out the beneficiary account, it has to refund the amount after the 2 hours. The money does not come to the Paytm. It only triggers the fund transfer. Hence, the bank would give details of the transaction.

There are 4 ways to contact customer care and get your queries resolved. You can choose any of the methods as per your convenience.
Support Ticket
This is the preferred method to resolve to Paytm feedback or queries. You would only see this method when you reach the Paytm Help Page. It is quite organised and you may get your answer through the process of booking the support ticket. The process goes through the followings steps.
- Open Paytm App and tap on the menu icon (3 parallel lines on top).
- A profile page slides out from the left, spot the ’24×7 Help’. Tap it.
- You would see the various categories of the Help. Search for the category of your problem or complaint. If you choose the recharge and bill payment, you would see the list of your past transactions.
- Choose the transaction which has a problem. Next, you have to choose the issue.
- The system would give you the standard response to such problems. But if you are still not satisfied, you can also send your message to the customer care.
- After submitting the support ticket, the Paytm customer care would contact you or send a message.
The Paytm provides the customized answer to 95% problems. Its 24×7 Help is very advanced and gives you the answer according to the status of your account or transaction. However, all these are the standard answers which or automatically given.
In fact, it is difficult to reach the customer care executive. You can say that Paytm avoid any human contact or manual resolution of the queries. When you call the customer care numbers, you have to again face the recorded messages. After giving the details you would be able to connect the customer executive. The service is available 24×7 but, not the executives. The timing to contact customer executive is from 10 AM to 8 PM.
