“Google Pay Not Compatible With My Device” | Google Pay Removed from Play Store?

It is the second time In August that Google Pay users are suffering. From the morning of 17 August, 2020 users are facing many issues. Even people were not able to reinstall the Google Pay app. They saw a weird message in the Google Play store. It says ” Google Pay Not Compatible With Your Device.” What does this mean? Is Google Play removed from the Play Store?

When You search for The Google Pay India app. you would not find it in the Google Playstore. It is wierd that Google Pay is not available in the Playstore of Google itself.

Instead of the Google Pay app you would find the Google Pay Business app. This app is made for the Merchants. It is not for the common users.

Why Device Not Compatible?

The Google Pay app is not available at the Android Playstore. If you open the Gooogle Play page through your installed apps. It shows the compatibility problem. It may show one of the following message.

Your Device is not compatible with this version

This App is no longer compatible with your device. Contact the developer for more information.

People are worried about their Android version. Has it become obsolete? Don’t worry there is no such thing. Your Android version might be updated.

Many users are searching the meaning of Compatible. What is the Maning of Compatible in Hindi?

Friends, The meaning of this message is that your phone can’t connect with the Google Pay available in the play store. Hindi me Iska matlab ye hua ki Aapke mobile maujood Google Pay app ke Playstore ke sath sangat (संगत – तालमेल) ya taalmel nahi ban pa raha hai.

In fact, Google Pay was not available at the Play Store when you saw this message. That is why you are seeing this standard message. You can consider it a technical issue from the Google’s side.

Google Pay has spent the whole day but could not resolve it. User are venting their anger on Twitter. People are also angry because of the dwindling rewards from Google Pay.

Anger is evident. Because Google Pay users had faced another issue. Google Pay users who were using the SBI handle could not transfer the money. It happened because SBI servers could not connect with the Google Pay.

Even, two months back, there was a news that Google Pay is not permitted by the RBI. However, later it was clarified that Google Pay has the permission as third party UPI app provider.

Response of The Google Pay India

Google Pay India Could not rectify the problem till night. Finally it has accepted the problem in its Twitter page. It has promised to fix the issue.

Some Users Might not have been able to discover the Google Pay app in the Google Play Store today. We are aware of this temporary issue and are working on fixing it.

Although Google says that only some users are facing this issue, But in my assessment most of the people can’t access the Google Pay at the Play Store.

In the last one months many apps have been banned in India. Subsequently they have been removed from the Google Play store. We hope, There would not be such an issue with the Google Play store.

Meanwhile, you can try to contact Google Pay Customer Care. But beware of the Fraud Helpline Numbers. There are plenty of such numbers floating on the internet.

Friends you might be aware that Google Pay is the biggest UPI app in India. Initially, it has given handsome rewards for the UPI money transfer. However, now you often see the message ” Better Luck Next Time”. These glitches would definitely affect the standing of Google Pay.
