Fastag Balance- How To Check through Missed Call

Are you enjoying fast and easy toll payment through the FASTag? Now here is another good news in this sequence. You may get to know your FASTag balance through a phone call totally FREE.

Hence there is no need to access your FASTag account through the internet to get the account balance. In this article, I will tell you how you can avail of this facility.

What is The New Facility?

To enhance your easement on the use of FASTag, Indian National Highways Management Company Limited (IHMCL) is now providing the missed call alert service to get the FASTag balance. By making a call you can check your FASTag balance anytime. This will help you to track the low balance as well.

As you know the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is promoting the IHMCL company.

How To Check Bank Balance Through Missed Call

Only For the My FASTag App Users

The facility to get the balance through missed call is for the My FASTag App users. So, if you have linked your FASTag with the NHAI prepaid wallet through the My FASTag App, then only you can use this facility. It means if you have linked the FASTag with other prepaid wallets or Banks App, you can not use this facility.

Thus the missed call service is actually to provide the balance of NHAI prepaid wallet through which you are paying the toll charges.

As you know NHAI prepaid wallet is inherent with My FASTag App. After linking FASTag with the wallet you have to add money in it. Then the toll charges get debit from the NHAI prepaid wallet.

However, in this app you have one more option to link FASTag. You can link your FASTag with your bank account in lieu of NHAI prepaid wallet. But then you can not avail the facility of missed call service.

But in the future this service may include all types of FASTags. Because now the total FASTag users are in crores all over India. And they are increasing so fast.

Note:- To link the FASTag with NHAI prepaid wallet firstly you have to download the My FASTag App from Google Play Store.

Fastag Balance Check Through A Missed Call

Thus to get the NHAI prepaid wallet balance you have to make a missed call only. This call should be through the mobile number which is registered with the NHAI prepaid wallet. Thus you have to call on-

This is a toll free number. It means, there are no call charges. Moreover,

  • No need to open your FASTag account repeatedly
  • The missed call alert service is available without internet
  • No need to send any SMS
  • Compatible with all mobile devices and operators. Thus no need a smartphone.

When Can You make a call?

The free missed call service is available round the clock and every day. Thus you can call also before entering the toll plaza. Even also at the time when you face any problem like tag is not readable by the reader at the toll plaza. Then you can call the above number and show the SMS to the staff that you have sufficient balance.

How does it Work?

When you call the toll free number, you get an SMS on your registered mobile number. This SMS shows the current balance of the prepaid wallet. If you have linked more than one vehicle to the same NHAI prepaid wallet, you get an SMS with a cumulative balance of all FASTags. But there should be the same mobile number registered with all FASTags.

Moreover, if any of the FASTag has low balance then you get a separate SMS as well. This SMS contains low balance information along with the detail of that FASTag.

Thus in this way you can enjoy the free missed call facility to get the wallet balance. All these efforts of the government are to improve the functions of FASTag. Also to reduce the traffic at the toll plaza and enhance the digital transactions.
