Before you start sending money through USSD banking, keep all required details such as beneficiary MMID/ IFSC/ Adhar, mobile number, your M-PIN etc.
The beneficiary needs not to register for mobile banking to receive funds. You can still send money using his/her IFSC and account number. However, to receive money using MMID, it is compulsory to register for mobile banking. Because banks allot MMID to only those who register for mobile banking.
Moreover, if you want to receive money using only your mobile number or payment address. Then it is compulsory for you to activate UPI services in your account by creating a VPA.
The USSD banking or USSD Payment is a great facility to those who don’t have the smartphone. But if you have the smartphone with the internet you should use the UPI. It works on mobile apps and very user-friendly. You can find UPI apps by SBI, ICICI, HDFC and many more banks.
